The main goal is to get rid of cancerous cells and the surrounding areas. Before or after this procedure, your doctor would suggest radiation therapy to reduce the size of the tumor. Another effective treatment is chemotherapy, which uses different chemicals to kill cancerous cells, especially after surgery. This option is more effective for people with bone sarcoma rather than those with soft tissue forms. Some medications can be prescribed as well to speed up recovery and prevent further complications.
