Focal Aware Seizure
Unlike a focal impaired awareness seizure, the onset of a focal aware seizure usually begins in one side of the brain. People with a focal aware seizure can still remain conscious during an attack. Aura would also occur. Other possible symptoms during a focal aware seizure may include:
– Tingling sensations in the arms or legs
– Extreme emotions, such as anxiety, fear, or joy
– Rising feelings in the stomach
– déjà vu or a feeling that certain events have occurred before
– Twitching or stiffness in a body area, such as your hand or arm
– A strange feeling [2]
