Uterine fibroids often develop in women during pregnancy. This is because the production of both progesterone and estrogen is increased when they are pregnant. As a result, fibroids might grow quickly. They do not actually change much in size, but some do. Around 30 percent of pregnant women have these growths during the first trimester. In some cases, they would impact your pregnancy chances and fertility. Till now, fibroids are not clearly understood. More researches are needed to have a better understanding of how fibroids develop and change during pregnancy. [4]
