What Causes Blisters on Your Feet?

Stasis Dermatitis

Stasis dermatitis is caused by a poor flow of blood in the lower legs. It happens when the valve, a part of the vein gets so weak that it cannot push blood back to the heart from the legs. In addition to blisters on the feet, other typical symptoms include swollen ankles, shiny skin, heavy feeling in your legs after a period of standing or sitting, dry skin, itchiness, and redness. If left untreated properly and quickly, stasis dermatitis would spread to other parts of the body and cause further complications. Common treatment options include leg elevation, compression stocks, topical steroid creams, antibiotics, and laser therapy. [6]
