Vinegar
Many people believe that a mixture of vinegar and salt would dissolve and eliminate the sticky glue which the female lice use to attach their eggs to your hair shafts. Vinegar contains acetic acid, a component that can help with prepping hair for nit-combing, while salt can dehydrate these insects. Once you have killed lice successfully, mix vinegar and water with the same amount to rub your hair vigorously to rinse. This will eliminate any nits that leave after the treatment. A mixture of olive oil and vinegar might also bring the same benefit. [3]
