Rotator Cuff Tear Test
Start with a seated position. Your healthcare provider will raise the affected arm to your side so that it is parallel to the ground. When you are relaxing the arm, the arm will be dropped by your healthcare provider. If the arm moves involuntarily and you cannot maintain the initial position, the rotator cuff tear might be a cause. Some people might elevate their scapula to the ear to compensate for their injured rotator cuff. Thus, you need to be aware of this factor during the test. [4]
