Symptoms of an Ulcer

Symptoms of a Skin Ulcer

A skin ulcer typically looks like an open sore. It is often caused by poor blood circulation. The outer border of the ulcer can be thick and raised. In the early stages, there may be skin discoloration. It would also be warm and red. In those with dark skin, skin ulcers would look blue or shiny. Depending on the severity and type, other symptoms would occur, such as redness, swelling, itchiness, tenderness, or pain. [10]
