Ear Trauma
Ear trauma or injuries may also lead to damage to any area of the inner or outer ear. This causes inflammation and swelling in the ear canal. Common causes include assaults, vehicle accidents, sports injuries, changes in air pressure, loud noises, or trauma from foreign objects. In addition to the swelling, ear trauma may also cause changes in the look of the ear, hearing loss, balance issues, bleeding or pus, pain, headache, ringing, buzzing, or dizziness. Depending on the causes, symptoms can vary. Many treatment options are available, from OTC medications and antibiotics to surgery. [5]
