Social Anxiety Disorder – Diagnosis & Treatments

LSAS

LSAS stands for the Liebowitz Social Anxiety Scale, which is also a self-rated scale designed for determining the effects of social anxiety disorder in different life situations. This method assesses both avoidance and participation in social settings. Thus, each item on the scale will include a situation with 2 questions related to your anxiety (how anxious you feel) and your avoidance (how often you avoid a social situation). The answer ranges from 0 (none) to 3 (severe). The higher the score you get from the LSAS, the more serious your social anxiety disorder might be. [3]
