Just like many other forms of headaches, sinus headaches can be a genetic condition. Recent studies have found that some special genes in the brain would increase the risk of developing this health issue. This means that if your mother, father, brother, or sister often deal with these symptoms mentioned above, it is likely that you would also have them later in life. However, genetic factors are not a major risk factor. Only a small number of reported cases also have a history of sinus headaches. [7]
