Fatigue
During a fever, the immune system has to work harder to fight foreign invaders. Therefore, toddlers tend to feel extremely tired and fatigued. They might complain about weakness and refuse to play or go out. Extreme fatigue or lethargy also make them speak or move slowly. A loss of appetite can also occur as a result. This leads to a drop in body weight. Since fatigue is a very common issue, it can be hard to diagnose a fever with this sign. Notice other symptoms like high body temperature and dehydration to check for fever in your babies. [5]
