Prolymphocytic Leukemia – Subtypes, Symptoms, Causes, Diagnosis and Treatment

Symptoms and Signs of Prolymphocytic Leukemia

Like other forms of leukemia, prolymphocytic leukemia is usually diagnosed through a lab test before any signs appear. When symptoms happen, they would include night sweats, fever, enlarged spleen, unexpected weight loss, anemia, high lymphocyte and white blood cell count, and low platelet count. People with T-cell prolymphocytic leukemia may have additional signs, such as enlarged liver, swelling of the lymph nodes, sores, or skin rash. These are quite general symptoms that can be found in other health conditions as well. This means the presence of them does not necessarily indicate that you have cancer. However, it is still better to visit your doctor if you notice these signs in more than 1 or 2 weeks. [3]
