Premenstrual Syndrome – Causes, Symptoms & Treatments

Gentle Exercises

Doing some gentle exercises would increase the levels of progesterone and estrogen, thus alleviating premenstrual syndrome symptoms. These include food cravings, flushing, bloating, nausea, diarrhea, constipation, and swollen breasts. Ideally, you should try some physical activities such as working out, walking, running, swimming or jogging at least 30 minutes on a daily basis. Make sure to combine with other factors such as nutrition or sleep to maximize the results. You do not have to exercise excessively as it would actually do more harm than good during this period. [14]
