Symptoms of Post-COVID Conditions
Chronic COVID is very common. Research suggested that one in five people aged 18 to 64 will develop at least one illness and one in four people aged 65 or older will have a minimum of one medical condition within a month to a year of contracting Covid-19. These symptoms include general symptoms, respiratory symptoms, heart symptoms, neurological symptoms, digestive symptoms, and other symptoms.
General symptoms: Tiredness; Fever
General symptoms may get worse following physical or mental exertion.
Respiratory symptoms & heat symptoms: Cough; Shortness of breath; Chest pain; Heart palpitations
Neurological symptoms: Cognitive impairment/brain frog; Mild to server headache; Difficult to fall asleep; Dizziness when you stand; Prolonged loss of smell or taste; Mental health problems like depression, anxiety, or post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD)
Digestive symptoms: Diarrhea; Constipation; Abdominal pain; Vomiting
Other symptoms: Rash; Abnormal menstruations [2]
