Diet
Some changes in your diet would help prevent fluid retention, thus alleviating some symptoms of Meniere’s disease. Make sure to have smaller and more frequent meals during the day. This can be helpful in regulating your body fluids. It is better to have 6 small meals rather than 3 large ones per day. Also, consume less salt as sodium is known for water retention. Try to cut out junk foods as they are added with salt in processing. Limit your alcohol intake and drink water frequently to stay hydrated. Stay away from tyramine in yogurts, nuts, ripe cheeses, red wine, smoked meats, or chicken liver as this substance would lead to migraines. [12]
