Main Causes of Narcolepsy

Heavy Diet

A diet with so many heavy foods would also trigger and worsen many symptoms of narcolepsy. Low glycemic dishes such as processed foods and white bread could lead to a temporary increase in insulin, which makes you feel tired shortly after a meal. Thus, eating them during the daytime would result in drowsiness and other signs of narcolepsy. It is advisable to avoid heavy meals. Instead, try to have around 4 to 5 light, small meals during the day. Also, replace heavy foods with lean protein and veggies. Do not eat too much before bedtime 3 or 4 hours because it might cause indigestion and affect your sleep. [4]
