The main goal of a lactose tolerance test is to measure the response of your body to a specific liquid which has a high level of lactose. After two hours of drinking this fluid, the medical professional will take a blood sample to test the level of glucose in the bloodstream. If the result shows that the glucose amount does not go up, it would suggest that your body is not absorbing and breaking down lactose properly.
