Diagnostic Criteria for Fibromyalgia

A diagnosis for fibromyalgia is made if you meet all of the following three criteria:

– Your widespread pain index score is 7 or higher and your symptom severity scale score is 5 or higher. Or your widespread pain index score is between 3 and 6 and your symptom severity scale is 9 or higher

– You have had symptoms at the same level over the last 3 months

– You do not experience other medical condition that would explain the current symptoms [4]
