Heart Attack
A heart attack, medically known as myocardial infarction, happens when a blood clot blocks the whole coronary arteries. This prevents blood from flowing to several parts of your heart, thus affecting normal functions of the cardiovascular system. Over time, the pumping activities will become less effective gradually and result in heart failure. There are many causes and risk factors of heart attacks, such as diet, age, sedentary lifestyle, smoking, genetics, and many medications. [10]
