Symptoms of Gallstones
Pain in the Upper Right Side of Your Abdomen
Pain is the primary symptom of gallstone. This symptom occurs in the upper right side of your abdomen, and it can persist for an extended period or it can just come and go. This pain comes on suddenly and gets worse quickly by spreading. This symptom occurs as a result of gallstones passing from the gallbladder to the small intestine or the gallstones being stuck in the biliary ducts. Meanwhile, eating fatty foods while diagnosed with gallstones can make the pain worse because undigested fat may squeeze the gallbladder, causing more pains. [4]
