Morning Stiffness
In the early stages, most people with rheumatoid arthritis typically experience stiffness in their joints in the morning. This is one of the most characteristic and common symptoms. During your sleep at night, affected joints would set in place and get inflamed because you are almost motionless for the whole time. The same goes for an extended period of inactivity. For instance, if you take a nap or read a book for several hours, which might make you experience stiff joints later. This condition would last a few hours before subsiding with activities.
