Joint Tenderness
People with rheumatoid arthritis tend to feel tenderness around the joints in their feet and hands. This is a typical early symptom of the condition. In your feet, the joints around the base of your toes would become tenderer, making it difficult to move as usual. In many cases, you have to lift up the toes or walk on the heels. For hands, affected joints can be found around the fingers’ base or middle. You would feel the sensation clearly during movement or when pressing something. [10]
