Septoplasty
If medications cannot improve symptoms of a deviated septum, surgery can help correct the problem. Septoplasty is a common option to repair this problem. During this procedure, the doctor will straighten and reposition the nasal septum in the middle of the nose. This might require the doctor to cut and remove some parts of the septum before inserting them in the right position. Depending on the severity of the deviation, the level of improvement can vary. Mild symptoms like nasal obstruction would go away completely. Nevertheless, when the condition affects the tissues that line your nose, it cannot just be cured with surgery. [7]
