Pain
Due to the inflammation caused by sinusitis, you might experience pain around the affected areas. The maxillary sinuses located under the eyes are the most commonly inflamed regions. They can be uncomfortable and painful when you tap or press. This symptom is quite similar to a common cold. However, sinus pain tends to be milder and can be followed by other conditions such as congestion or bad breath. In severe cases, the sensations can spread to other parts of the body, such as nose bridges, cheeks, or eyes. [2]
