Angelman Syndrome – Symptoms and Causes

Physical Issues

Similar to down syndrome, Angelman syndrome would be recognized by some abnormal facial and head features. People with this disorder tend to have a disproportionately small head. This symptom is not clear until the children grow. As a result, the brain can be abnormally small, a condition also known as microcephaly. In addition to the size of the head, there are other physical symptoms, including an absence of color in the eyes, hair, and skin, smooth palms, tapered finger, widely spaced teeth, wide mouth, crossed eyes, or flat areas on the head’s back.
