Mononucleosis might cause lymphadenopathy or the swelling of lymph glands in the armpits and neck. In some cases, the symptom also occurs in the groin. You can check it by using your middle and index finger to gently rub the area below the ears where the neck meets the jawline. Swollen lymph glands often feel hard to touch.
