12 Skin Cancer Signs & Symptoms

Vision Change

A change in your vision, such as blurred vision in one or two eyes, might be a sign of melanoma of the eyes or ocular melanoma, which is the most dangerous type of skin cancer. While it isn’t the most common conditions, it leads to the most deaths. Ocular melanoma just accounts for about 5% of melanomas and often happens in the white area of your eye, also known as iris, and choroid, or choroiciliary body. Other symptoms might include the emergence of a dark patch on the white part of the eyes, floaters, seeing a flashing light, losing peripheral vision, or bulging or redness of one eye. If you can recognize and treat the condition early, it is nearly curable. But when you let it progress and spread to other body parts, it could be harder to treat or even fatal. [4]
