Headache with No Known Cause
One of the symptoms of facial paralysis is a headache. So, do not be taken by surprise when you suffer headaches that you cannot even tell the origin or cause. What causes this painful banging of the head is irritation of the lining of the brain or pressure on it. This symptom is present in both ischaemic and hemorrhagic type of stroke, but it is more common if your stroke was caused by bleeding in the brain. Bleeding in the brain causes the brain to swell, thereby putting pressure on the lining of the brain. The headache usually comes very severely, and you may likely mistake it for a migraine until diagnosed by your healthcare provider. [7]
