Constipation
Appendicitis can also make it difficult for you to empty your bowels, causing bloating and discomfort in your tummy. Not everyone with appendicitis suffers diarrhea; some experience constipation instead. However, in some people, there are alternating periods of both; constipation comes in for some time and then disappears, only for diarrhea to show up too. Appendicitis caused by the blockage of the tube that joins the large intestine and the appendix can result in constipation.
