Shaking Chills
When suffering from Pneumonia, a person may experience extreme shaking chills as a result of high fever. The inflammatory response releases prostaglandins and also the cytokines which cause an increase in the temperature range in the body hypothalamus which triggers temperature increase but makes the individual feel extremely cold and also the chills until that point where a new set of temperature is reached. During such a situation, the individual also feels shivering as a result of muscle contraction where the psychological efforts try to increase the heat. The result is high fever and chills which may occur during the moments of scare or fear, and this indicates a symptom of Pneumonia. [3]
