Fever
Unexplained fever with a body temperature above 100.4 degrees is a very common symptom in people with cancer, including non-Hodgkin lymphoma. It occurs when cancer cells grow and trigger the immune system to activate. Increasing the body’s temperature is a mechanism to fight infection and eliminate these cells. This symptom usually occurs after the tumor has spread from the initial location. In fact, nearly all people with this health issue will experience it at some time, particularly when cancer or treatment options affect their immune system. [5]
