Symptoms of Late-Stage Testicular Cancer
If left untreated, tumors caused by testicular cancer would start to spread to surrounding lymph nodes and other parts of the body. When this happens, the signs can vary, depending on the affected areas. Some typical signs of late-stage testicular cancer include:
– Coughing up blood, persistent cough, or shortness of breath when cancer cells affect the lungs.
– Confusion, headaches, and other mental problems when cancer cells spread to the brain
– Pain and swelling in the lower extremities, which may indicate deep vein thrombosis caused by a hypercoagulable state in people with spreading cancer cells
– Swelling of lymph nodes in the neck when cancer cells spread further to other organs in the body
– Unexplained weight loss and chronic fatigue are two common symptoms of testicular cancer in late stages [10]
