Catatonic Behaviors
Catatonic behavior is a distinctive sign of schizophrenia. It would manifest in a variety of ways. You might feel unconcentrated, which makes it more difficult to perform some simple tastes such as brushing your teeth or taking a shower. Also, it might make you feel agitated, excited, or silly in unexpected manners. Also, there might be some unusual motor behaviors that are often seen as purposeless, excessive, unfocused, or inappropriate. These would include having a strange position or waving the hands around frantically. People with catatonia don’t often respond to some external responses, such as poking or touching. [5]
