Addison’s Disease
Addison’s disease is a health issue occurring in your adrenal cortex. Under the effect of this condition, the adrenal glands located on the top of your kidneys would malfunction. As those organs are responsible for producing a variety of important hormones, such as aldosterone and steroids cortisol, a small change in the levels would trigger some problems in your body, including vitiligo. Addison’s disease creates a great breeding ground on your skin for vitiligo to develop and spread.
