Pain
Patients experience extreme pain when the hemorrhoid becomes thrombosed, during actions ranging from sitting on flat surfaces to urinating and passing stool. In some cases, people report persisting pain even when standing. Over the counter medications are normally enough to relieve this symptom. The pain generally lasts no more than three or four days. If it persists further, one should report to the doctor as they may require surgery. [7]
