Warnings for Lucentis
People with the following conditions should avoid taking Lucentis:
– Allergies: Avoid Lucentis if you have allergies to Lucentis or any ingredients in this medication, especially ranibizumab. Otherwise, it would lead to serious inflammation in the eye.
– Glaucoma: An injection of Lucentis may increase the pressure in your eye, which can be a risk factor more glaucoma. Therefore, your doctor would suggest some treatments to reduce the pressure before you may take Lucentis.
– An infection around or in the eye: You need to treat this injection before Lucentis can be injected directly into your eye. [9]
