Fish
Fish is one of the most nutritious foods in the diet. Several varieties may be especially high in iron, such as tuna, sardines, mackerel, and haddock. For instance, a portion of canned tuna provides around 8 percent of the daily recommended intake. Fish is also a great source of omega-3 fatty acids, a form of heart-healthy fat linked to many health benefits. Especially, studies have shown that omega-3 fatty acid may help improve immunity, support healthy development and growth, and well boost brain health. Other important nutrients in fish include vitamin B12, selenium, and niacin. [1]
