How Teachers and Parents Can Support Children with Dysgraphia
Since writing is a complex process with many different skills, no specific programs or approaches are available for people with dysgraphia. However, teachers and parents can help children with these problems. Depending on a kid’s particular challenges, they may develop specific strategies. In general, teachers have to instruct explicitly basic writing rules as children with this disorder cannot learn them naturally. For instance, they need to learn how to put nouns and adjectives in a sentence or how to use punctuation properly. Transcription, which encompasses spelling, keyboarding, and handwriting, can be another challenge for people with dysgraphia. Teachers can apply some multisensory techniques to help them cope with these problems. [7]
