Aromasin Uses
Aromasin is mainly used for treating breast cancer in the early and advanced phases:
– Early breast cancer: In this case, cancer cells have not spread out of the breast. Aromasin may be adjuvant treatment, which is an additional option after the first treatment to reduce the risk of recurrence. The medication is used for menopausal women who have taken tamoxifen for 2 or 3 years; have estrogen-receptor positive breast cancer; or have switched to Aromasin as adjuvant treatment to complete five years of hormone therapy.
– Advanced breast cancer: In this case, cancer cells have spread to other parts of the body. Aromasin can be used for menopausal women when tamoxifen did not work for them. [2]
