Since wisdom teeth extraction is an outpatient process, you need to visit the hospital or dentist’s office. Firstly, you will be given sedation or general anesthesia to alleviate pain. During this period, the dentist will use some specialized tools to cut the gum and remove impacted wisdom teeth. You might feel some pressure pain while the teeth are pulled. Lastly, dissolving stitches would be used to seal your gum. The duration for wisdom teeth removal can vary, lasting anywhere from several minutes in simple cases to more than 30 minutes in more complicated cases.[3]
