Osteomyelitis
Osteomyelitis is an infection that affects the bone and causes pain. It can be caused by different reasons, such as a break in the skin, sepsis, pneumonia, or an open wound that becomes infected. In addition to tenderness in the affected area and collarbone pain, people with this condition might also have nausea, fever, warmth, swelling, or pus draining through their skin. Antibiotics are the first-line treatment for osteomyelitis. They can be injected intravenously, but oral drugs are also available. The whole process might take several months. [5]
