What is a Silent Heart Attack

Diagnosis

Since people with a silent heart attack does not have any noticeable symptoms, it can be hard for them to know whether they have the condition. In most cases, it is only diagnosed when the doctor is doing some tests for other health issues. Even worse, only when the damage to heart muscles has been done is the condition diagnosed. An electrocardiogram is the most common procedure for this task. It can measure heart signals and find out possible damages. An echocardiogram can also be done to confirm the presence of a silent heart attack. Similar to other imaging techniques like CT scans or MRIs, this test can visualize a weakened heart muscle to show which part is affected. [4]
