How to Cope with Morning Sickness
Before trying any medications, you can make some lifestyle and dietary changes to help prevent or manage the symptoms of morning sickness. These include:
– Suck on popsicles or ice chips
– Drink a lot of fluids during the day
– Take multivitamin supplements
– Avoid eating and drinking at the same time
– Stay away from unpleasant smells
– Try a BRATT diet (bananas, rice, applesauce, toast, tea) or bland foods
– Have a few plain crackers close to your bed and eat them before standing up in the morning
– Have smaller meals during the day instead of having 3 large meals
– Try products containing ginger, such as ginger ale, ginger tea, or ginger candies [10]
