Exertional Headache
An exertional headache can be triggered by intense physical activities like sexual intercourse, running, or a coughing bout. It tends to last in a very short period, usually several minutes or hours. People with this type of headache can have a throbbing pain all over their heads. Exertional headaches are more common in those with migraine in their family history. Beta-blockers or anti-inflammatory drugs could be helpful in preventing an episode before you work out. [5]
