Types of Depression

Situational Depression

Situational depression is quite similar to major depression in many aspects. However, this special type is often triggered by particular situations or events, including a life-threatening even, a serious illness, the death of a family member, child custody problems, divorce, physical or emotional abuse, financial difficulties, unemployment, or legal problems. Obviously, it is usually to feel anxious and sad in these situations, but situational depression can occur when these feelings begin to become out of control and disrupt your life. Most cases might develop symptoms within 3 months of the events. Typical symptoms include social withdrawal, concentration problems, fatigue, lethargy, pains and aches on different parts of the body, difficulty sleeping, appetite changes, anxiety, feelings of hopelessness and sadness, as well as frequent crying.
