Tuberous sclerosis could cause some growth on your brain. As a result, it might lead to some developmental delays and sometimes learning disabilities or intellectual disabilities in children. Over time, some mental health issues, such as ADHD or autism, would also occur. When the condition progresses, it can trigger some other behavioral issues. These might include emotional and social adjustment, aggression, self-injury, as well as hyperactivity. There is currently no cure for these conditions.
