Herpes and HIV
Herpes is a common STD that may cause dry skin. The main trigger of this disease is an HSV injection. In addition, it may result in other symptoms, such as rashes, itching skin, or burning. People with herpes tend to be at a higher risk of developing eczema herpeticum. This is a form of severe skin injection that may be dangerous if left untreated. Dry skin and other skin issues in herpes tend to affect the head and along the neck, but they may appear in other parts of the body as well. HIV, also known as human immunodeficiency virus, can spread through exposure to injected blood or sexual contact. Using shared needles is a common ways of transmitting this virus. Over time, HIV may cause the immune system to become weaker. Eventually, people with the condition may suffer from AIDS, a disease that make the immune system unable to prevent infections effectively. HIV may lead to many common signs and symptoms of STDs, such as dry skin and rashes in different forms. [6]
