Signs & Symptoms of Cystic Fibrosis

Coughing

Coughing is another sign that individuals suffering from Cystic Fibrosis indicate. You notice that the person experiences a sudden, repetitive, protective reflex as an effort of the body to clear the respiratory passage occupied by the thick sticky mucus. Thick mucus causes irritants, foreign particles, allergens, and microbes to accumulate and also take longer to expel. The accumulation causes blockage causing the individual to experience a forced expiration and violent expulsion of air, which is usually accompanied by a distinctive sound. Coughing in children usually indicates a severe problem, and it requires you to take them to a doctor for Cystic Fibrosis diagnosis and other illnesses. [4]
