Drink a Lot of Fluids
While it might be tempting to reduce the amount of water when you suffer from an overactive bladder, doing so would actually worsen the issue. Without sufficient fluids, the urine would be too concentrated and affect the bladder’s functions. Aim to take it at least 2 to 3 liters of fluids on a daily basis, including plain water, juice, and herbal tea. Avoid alcohol and caffeinated drinks like coffee or green tea as they would lead to many diuretic effects. To prevent urgency during the night, you should not drink anything around 2 to 3 hours before sleeping. [7]
