Erythrodermic Psoriasis

Erythrodermic psoriasis is a rare form of psoriasis. It typically appears as severe burns on the skin, which are scaly, red, and widespread. Symptoms may affect large areas of the body. This disease may become serious and require a medical emergency. If the body cannot regular internal temperature, hospitalization would be needed. Common causes and triggers of erythrodermic psoriasis include excessive stress, alcoholism, infections, extreme sunburn, untreated plaque psoriasis, and pustular psoriasis. A combination of oral medications, biologics, steroid creams, and medicated wet dressings may be needed to treat this condition. [5]
